Districts in Paris : why are those 9 ones the best?
In Paris, we love to compare the different districts: this one is better than that one, you can do this on that one, etc. This is why we made this ultimate list to explain to you why those 9 districts are the best in Paris 🙂 !
Le Marais
Le Marais is a cosmopolitan quarter in Paris, it’s also the first gay quarter of France ! It’s really dynamic and you have really interesting things to see or visit like the cathedral Notre-Dame de Paris, the Pompidou center or the BHV mall !
You can also have a drink at Le Perchoir on the roof of the BHV and have an amazing view of Paris !
Pigalle
Pigalle is very touristic quarter in Paris, but also the most romantic and festive of the capital ! You have the famous Sacré-Coeur and Moulin Rouge in this quarter and a lot of bars !
Latin district
The latin quarter is located in the 5th district of Paris ! This quarter is populated of parisians, students and tourists ! Concerning the monuments, you can discover the amazing Panthéon, the Jardin du Luxembourg and the Lutèce arena !

Bastille
Here is one of the most festive quarter in Paris ! There are a lot of tourists and student there and the bars are awesome ! Come to the Zéro-Zéro and L’entre Potes and have some surprises 😉
Les Grands Boulevards
The Grands Boulevards quarter is really famous for the monuments and activities which it possesses ! First, you have the Opéra and the Musée Grévin and lot of theaters ! Indeed you can have a really good time with your friends thanks to the several night clubs ! We recommend the Café Oz, a real Aussie bar in Paris 😉
Chinese quarter
The chinese quarter is located in the 13th district of Paris. There are a lot of chinese restaurants and you can find all the chinese food you want in the supermarket (we recommend you the Tang Frères “supermarket”. Finally, it’s also the quarter where the Chinese New Year is celebrated with an amazing parade !

Oberkampf
Oberkampf it’s another festive quarter of the capital with the most lively bars of the capital ! You can go on the rooftop bar Le Perchoir (the same as the one at the BHV in the Marais quarter) or at La Fine Mousse, a beer bar !
Mouffetard
Mouffetard is another quarter where you can go out easily with your friends. The bars are really nice and the prices are cheap, perfect for tourists and students ! We recommend Le Chouff’bar and the Lucha Libre !

Montparnasse
The Montparnasse quarter is located in the 14th district of the capital and is famous for its huge tower (210 meters) the Montparnasse Tour ! It’s also a place with a lot of museums which was attended by artists like Picasso. Finally, Montparnasse has also big train station 🙂
