The art of pairing Cheese and Wine

"In France, I learned about wine and cheese." Walter Wager

As you are in Paris, it is sometimes nice to book an activity that can be unusual. To try this one, we used a platform called triple .
So what do we have in France ? The Eiffel Tower, the nice countryside, the cool English accent, the moustache and the beret, the bread called “baguette”.
AND of course cheese and wine 🙂

As you surely know French people are dedicated to the wine and cheese. It is part of our culture. It is on our blood : wine especially 🙂

We thus decided to test a Triple activity that offers lessons and workshop on the tasting of wines and the explanation of the cheesemaking.

Direction : the store “Paroles de Fromager” on the 10th arrondissement. They offer 1h30 of tasting of different cheeses and wine.

It is a cheese and wine store. A usual one, with the distinction that the cheeses are all selected, and the team is passionate about it. They have also a vaulted room which is really nice.

First we have visited their fridge 🙂 They do have really nice cheese in here. The woman explained to us how the cheese was made, what are the differences and so on.

Then we went to the vault room to discover the pairing of wine and cheese.

The difference with others wine tasting you can discover, is that the pairing is made by the cheese. It means that you choose the wine according to to the cheese you want to taste ! It is totally different for what I knew. And the result is pretty good.
The host is also really aware and pedagogic. It takes time to answer questions, to brief us on history and economy of cheese and wine.

We really loved this tasting. The team, the organisation, and the food 🙂 Do not hesitate to try, it is really a good experience!
